One of our specialities is WOMEN'S FINANCES. This is a greatly neglected and evolving field of concern in financial planning because women face very different financial planning issues than men. Frankly, the present financial planning schema out there are more than a little out of whack with the times. Financial planners don't automatically consider Women-Only issues and more often than not neglect to consider those areas.

What different issues do women face?

• Females often take time out to raise children. During this time they do not contribute to CPP or other pensioen plans and therefore have less pensioen to bank on during retirement.
• Women are retired for much longer than men because they live longer -often outliving their money.
• Women face a variety of women-only cancers and other health issues.
• Women generally earn less than men over the course of a lifetime and are less prepared for critical eventualities because they have less resources.
• Most people get divorced, about 25% get divorced more than once, and women are often the raising children as single mothers.
• Women who divorce after age 45 are less inclined to settle with a new life partner than the men and start making retirement plans as single people.
• Women have a greater need to plan for Long Term Care in old age, either in institutions or home care. Growing old without a life partner presents extraordinary challenges that should be adressed with some of the excellent solutions on the market.
